Stock Market Today: Reliance Power, Angel One and Muthoot Finance were among 17 stocks that mutual funds completely exited in October, suggested a report by Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research. Among other companies that mutual funds exited include The Ramco Cement, Crompton Greaves Consumer, Natco Pharma, City Union Bank, Gujarat Gas, Havells, Maruti Suzuki India, ABB, Piramal Enterprise, Sterlite Technologies, Muthoot Finance, Voltas, Torrent Power and Orient Cement.
Mutual fund details for all market cap schemes
As per a report on top activities in mutual funds, Nuvama Institutional Equities report showed that HDFC Mutual Fund completely exited Global Health Ltd (Medanta), Angel One Ltd and Reliance Power Ltd. HDFC Mutual Fund in turn added shares of Nuvoco Vistas Corporation and JSW Steel Ltd to the portfolio.
SBI Mutual Fund, on the other hand, completely exited companies such as The Ramco Cement Ltd, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd and Natco Pharma during the month of October. SBI Mutual Fund added shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporations Ltd, Sansera Engineering and Torrent Pharma.
Kotak Mutual Fund added KEI Industries and LTI Mindtree while it exited its holdings in City Union Bank Ltd, Gujarat Gas and Havells India.
Axis Mutual Fund bought shares and added stakes in HDFC AMC and HCL Technologies Ltd, however, it completely exited Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, ABB Ltd and Global Health Ltd (Medanta).
Nippon India Mutual Fund added Sansera Engineering and Sudarshan Chemicals to its portfolio, and completely exited holdings in Piramal Enterprises, Sterlite Technologies and Muthoot Finance.
Quant Mutual Fund is the only fund that added Adani Enterprises to its portfolio in October. Tata Chemicals Ltd and Ipca Laboratories Ltd were other top additions by the fund house. It did not exit any of its holdings entirely.
ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund added shares of Nestle India, Sundaram Clayton, and Life Insurance Corporation and exited Voltas Ltd, Torrent Power Ltd and Orient Cement Ltd.
